Below is a diagram of a typical installation with parts and items identified

STEP 1 -  Remove lid of canister and remove bag attachment nozzle, pressure release valve, connectors and bags.

STEP 2 -  Determine where the unit will be mounted in your truck.

If canister will not fit under bed/storage in the upright (vertically) position, unit may be mounted horizontally using include horizontal mounting brackets

STEP 3 -  Cut four 2 inch pieces of the 2 inch PVC pipe.

STEP 4 -  Determine exhaust vent location. Using hole saw cut 2 ½ inch hole at  desired location. This is for optional exhaust vent. (If you do not vent back into the cab, bed must be raised during vacuum use)  Exhaust vent is to be located inside cab, do not vent to exterior. The exhaust vent must be a minimum of four inches from exhaust port, located at the bottom of the canister.

STEP 5 -  Mount vent cover using screws included. Pre-drill screw holes with 3/16  inch drill bit. The exhaust vent should be mounted so that the flap falls closed.

STEP 6 -  Determine the amount of flex tubing to reach  from exhaust port at base of canister to exhaust vent installed in step 5.

Cut flex tubing to desired length. Use wire  cutters to cut the wire in the flex tubing.

Insert a 2 inch piece of PVC pipe, that was cut in step 3, into flex tubing at both ends.

STEP 7 -  Insert a 90° PVC elbow on exhaust port at base of canister facing towards exhaust vent.

STEP 8 -  Insert one end of the flex tubing assembly that was assembled in step 6, into 90° PVC elbow.

STEP 9 -  Insert opposite end of flex tube assembly that was assembled in step 6 into rear of exhaust vent that was installed in step 5. Insert only ½ inch to ¾ inch into rear of exhaust vent.(Make sure vent flap is allowed to move freely.)

STEP 10 - Determine the faceplate location. Faceplate should be located for convenience and a minimum of four inches from canister. (Either intake at  the top of the canister may be used. Use the one located nearest the vacuum inlet.)

Using a hole saw, cut a 2 ½ inch hole at desired faceplate location. (For ease of  installation, faceplate height should be approximately the same  height as the  intake on the canister, if possible.

Place faceplate into the hole, allowing inlet door to fold downward. Inlet neck should rest on the bottom of the 2 ½ inch hole. (important - This is to prevent unit from coming on while not in use by screws coming in contact with the hole edge).

Pre-drill top faceplate screw holes with ¼ inch drill bit.

STEP 11 - Strip ½ inch of insulation off of low voltage wires.

Attach wires to screws located on the back of the faceplate. It does not matter which wire goes to which screw.

STEP 12 - Feed wire through the 2 ½ inch vacuum inlet hole drilled in step 10.

STEP 13 - Feed wire through the mounting plate's top rectangular hole, see photo

STEP 14 - Insert and tighten screw into top screw hole of faceplate with mounting plate located on opposite side of panel.  Storage wall will be sandwiched between faceplate and mounting plate. Screw will pull faceplate and mounting plate together for a snug fit. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.

STEP 15 - Pre-drill bottom screw hole for faceplate with a ¼ inch bit, insert screw into bottom screw hole of faceplate and tighten. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.

STEP 16 - Determine the amount of flex tubing to reach from mounting plate to the intake at the top of the canister.

Cut flex tubing to desired length Use wire cutters to cut the wire in the flex tubing.

Insert a 2 inch piece of PVC pipe cut in step 3 into flex tubing at both ends.

STEP 17 - Attach a coupler to both ends of the flex pipe assembly created in step 16.

STEP 18 - Insert one end of flex tube assembly, created in step 17, to rear of the mounting plate.

STEP 19 - Insert the gasket over bag connecter assembly.

Insert the bag connector assembly, into back side of intake from the inside of canister.

Assembly must snap into position. (Gasket should be pushed tight to seal canister and bag connector assembly.)

Attach the bag to connector assembly. Rubber seal on the bag should overlap the bag connector assemble lip.

Close lid. The underside of the lid has a hook mounted; it hooks on the curved lip of the canister. Lid hook should be on the opposite side from the latch.

STEP 20 - Insert the other end of flex tube assembly, assembled in step 17, to intake at the top of the canister.
STEP 21 - Place the lid back on canister using latch assembly.
STEP 22 - Insert a coupler on the pressure release valve.

STEP 23 - Insert the pressure release valve assembly, created in step 22, onto the remaining canister intake.

STEP 24 - Run the previously attached low voltage wire from faceplate to canister. Strip ¼ in of insulation from the low voltage wire, and attach the included electrical terminals. Attach low voltage wire to low voltage connectors on the side and base of the canister using supplied. Note, it does not matter which wire is attached to which connector on side of the canister.

STEP 25 - Secure canister to the storage floor using screw through eye-bolt, or bracket system if unit is to be mounted horizontally.

STEP 26 - Route the power cord from canister to 110vac supply.

STEP 27 - Now you are ready to use the TruckVac Pro.  Just insert the end of the hose that has the metal band cuff into the inlet and the unit will start automatically.  Use the included tools for cleaning different areas of your truck.
